Give thanks to God along with your requests. Try to spend some time being quiet so you can hear God's voice, or maybe you both just spend some time in silence together. I know sometimes Phil and I just sit together and just embrace one another or sometimes we just sit at MCD together and don't always say anything. Spend some quiet time just listening to worship music and maybe singing or dancing with it. Just spend time in worship. I know for myself, I worship, and I read the scriptures-I do take my time and really engage, but it's still scheduled like a workday. I'm looking forward to a time where I can spend an hour or two and just have fun with God. We must be strong in the Lord. Let's continue to honor him by showing his character everywhere. This post is thought provoking. I am not sure exactly what the intended outcome is behind in posting this image. It could be that it's trying to get people to have get-together's again. I know a lot of times when I watch Andy Griffith, I wish I had people that would stop by once in a while for a cup of coffee.  We've lived in Indiana for nearly 10 years now. In that 10 years, we've met a lot of people, but haven't established relationships with anyone other than I see you at the same building every week. We don't do anything outside the building. Now at my job, there are a few people that always remember my name and one even follows up with things I tell him. It's so easy to just sit in a pew and watch church or sit on your couch and watch church, but when you fully indulge in the whole celebration, your overall demeanor will change dramatically. The Holy Spirit is with us everywhere we go. Sometimes life can be really overwhelming, but the Holy Spirit was sent to help us though it. We must rely on the Holy Spirit to comfort us when we are going through hard times. We are going to look at Leviticus 19:28: “Do not cut your bodies for the dead and do not mark on your skin with tattoos, I am the Lord your God.”  I have read a lot of things regarding this topic, and I do believe that it is one that no one really knows exactly how God feels about it, but one thing is clear, it was a big practice with the pagan religions.  I have read that we are the holy temple of God, and we should not deface it, but I am not sure that is very strong argument. It makes out like people who get tattoos are graffiti artists committing a crime, and I am not a fan of that.  It used to be, in ancient Greece, that tattoos were a form of punishment. Yeah, you see, tattoos were tattooed unto criminal’s faces to display the crime they committed. This way, they would be labeled with their crime and they would be able to be caught should they escape. And also, they would still be punished even after they escaped. It can be so easy to be distracted and fall away from following God. It's important to stay connected to the scriptures everyday. It reminds me of a rope. The more there's tension on the rope, the more likely it's going to snap. Thankfully with God's help, it becomes whole again and he can bring you back like a boomerang. Everyone goes through hard times in a different way. David in Psalms wrote about this struggles all the time. He went through periods of time when was struggling and then praised God when he pulled him through.  My God, my God, why have you abandoned me? Why are you so far away when I groan for help?
