When you're walking through the dark

a path so dark it's hard

to see where you're going

always stumbling always falling

life seems so hopeless like an arrow without a way

never know when the arrow will strike a target

It can be easy to walk through the dark, even if you're a Christian. There are different kinds of darknesses. (Is that a word? It is now.) Some people experience darkness as just not having a good path or leader to follow. They more or less just wander their way to God and who knows how close they will get. There are others who don't really understand the scriptures, but think they do. And then there are others who don't understand the scriptures so they give up trying. This is where a good and supportive church can come into play. Notice I didn't just say a church. I was specific. There are some churches that seriously fail at teaching. They are available for the fun Sunday morning, and a message is given, but no teaching is given. A deep dive into the scriptures isn't given. Participation of the scriptures isn't given. It's important to go to church yes, but participation from both parties has to be done. It is said that church can provide deep supportive people to help you. That's not always true. If you can find it then yeah that's great, but it's not always the case. It's good to find a supportive Bible study too. 

So if you can, don't stumble alone. Find a good church filled with people that can stumble with you.
