Friends must support each other

You know what I love? Sisters and brothers supporting each other like this man who was paralyzed. He wanted so much to be healed by Jesus but because there were so many people wanting to see Jesus, he couldn't, plus, he was paralyzed. His friends carried him to the place, made a hole in the roof, and lowered him right in front of the speaker, who was Jesus. It was impossible for Jesus not see this person that needed to be healed. Jesus healed this man because his friends loved him so much that they wanted to help. That is how we are supposed to be.
But too many times it just doesn't work out. Sometimes people will ask for help, but they don't get the help. I read a post just the other day that said don't show what you're going through on the outside or something like that. I thought to myself, there's so many things wrong with that. We're supposed to be able to express what we're going through so that people can carry us through, but too often we're not allowed to express ourselves. If we try to express ourselves we're only accused of trying to get attention. If we try to express our feelings, our feelings are not acknowledged, but yet downplayed, as the feelings we're not supposed to have. The only person that is allowed to judge the feelings that you're supposed to have is the person feeling them. No one except ourselves gets to tell us how we're feeling. Now what we do with those feelings, that's different. For instance,if our feelings are angry, and in our anger, we hurt something, ourselves or someone else, then that's a problem. There's one thing that I love and that is community, but I don't feel much of it these days. But it might change after a while. I do know that I married to the person who would help in a heartbeat and I have parents that would help in a heartbeat.

[12] This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you.
[14] You are my friends if you do what I command.
[17] This is my command: Love each other.
