 discipline. Discipline means doing everything possible to not only live and act like Christ, but learn like Christ too. We can't be more like Christ if we don't take the time to learn about him. Study the scriptures. Matthew 5-10 is a great place to start. 

Look at the character of Jesus. Caring, healer, servant, delegator and inspirational. He sparked people to want to be more like Him. He didn't come to the towns and say, I am the Almighty King, worship me! No, he gave people a choice. He came to people in love. He came with the attitude of serving. Who can you serve today? Maybe it's your job. 

Show the customers and employers the attitude of Christ. Show the attitude of Christ EVERYWHERE by NOT complaining and not being bitter. Being bitter doesn't help anything. Being bitter just makes your mental health go down the drain. You're no help to anyone that way. Instead, exhibit a behavior of happiness, servitude and love. Be like Christ.

A soldier is better being protected vs. being unprotected. One thing I really enjoy is going to the gym. I love to exercise. Now, in order to get the benefits of the gym, I need to go there in person. I can read tons of books and magazines teaching about how to build muscle and tone up, and that's good for head knowledge, but for physical benefit, I have to go to the gym.  The same I believe can be applied to the Bible. This is how I feel sometimes. I talk, I write, I sing, is anyone listening? I show my exercise, do I inspire anyone? Sure, absolutely, I know I'm doing it for God and that keeps me going, but it is nice to hear back from people. Comments are very important to people who do things like me. Not emojis!  Emojis hardly convey anything. Sure, I love emojis as much as the next person, but words have SO much more meaning.  People go on and on, if you're feeling lonely or need help, reach out. What good is this if no one answers? Know what that feels like? Rejection. Yes, Christians aren't supposed to feel rejected, oh wait, I'm sorry, that's only me, I'm not allowed. I'm not allowed to express anger or hurt feelings, because the person didn't intend to do that, so, I shouldn't feel that way. do not have to report for jury duty/dragon boat races today

Tamara received a notification in the mail that she was going to have to report for jury duty. But turns out that that is not necessary anymore because the parties have decided not to have a trial. So that is good news in a way.  Today is the dragon boat race. This is something that Phil and I really enjoy. We were going to go to the opening ceremony last night, but due to the rain, it was canceled.
