A soldier is better being protected vs. being unprotected. One thing I really enjoy is going to the gym. I love to exercise. Now, in order to get the benefits of the gym, I need to go there in person. I can read tons of books and magazines teaching about how to build muscle and tone up, and that's good for head knowledge, but for physical benefit, I have to go to the gym.  The same I believe can be applied to the Bible. Colossians 3:17 video Is it hard to give thanks in everything you do? What does that mean to you? Lately I've been reading Mark  and it is just amazing to watch Jesus in action. In Mark 8 he has compassion on the people who traveled such a long distance to listen to him teach. He is having compassion on the least of these.  Let's rewind to Mark 2 when Jesus heals the paralyzed man.  Let's rewind even farther to Matthew 8 and 9 when Jesus did a whole lot of miracles.  We can learn so much.  1. Jesus loved others, even his enemies.  2. Jesus had compassion on others, especially those who were suffering. 3. Jesus never demanded recognition.
