the eternal rock we can lean on

Isaiah 26:4 NLT‬
[4] Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.
Friends, isn't it so comforting to know that God is the rock we can cling to when we're struggling and relax on when we have things settled? God is the cornerstone that never moves no matter how much the world changes. God will always be the same. God loves us no matter what. just like a cornerstone holds the building together, God can hold us together. 

Dear Father in heaven, thank you so much for being the cornerstone in our lives. We owe you so much. Sometimes life can get so rough, but we know we can depend on you and you will bring us through it. Thank you for always being the rock we can lean on. Amen.

A soldier is better being protected vs. being unprotected. One thing I really enjoy is going to the gym. I love to exercise. Now, in order to get the benefits of the gym, I need to go there in person. I can read tons of books and magazines teaching about how to build muscle and tone up, and that's good for head knowledge, but for physical benefit, I have to go to the gym.  The same I believe can be applied to the Bible. This is how I feel sometimes. I talk, I write, I sing, is anyone listening? I show my exercise, do I inspire anyone? Sure, absolutely, I know I'm doing it for God and that keeps me going, but it is nice to hear back from people. Comments are very important to people who do things like me. Not emojis!  Emojis hardly convey anything. Sure, I love emojis as much as the next person, but words have SO much more meaning.  People go on and on, if you're feeling lonely or need help, reach out. What good is this if no one answers? Know what that feels like? Rejection. Yes, Christians aren't supposed to feel rejected, oh wait, I'm sorry, that's only me, I'm not allowed. I'm not allowed to express anger or hurt feelings, because the person didn't intend to do that, so, I shouldn't feel that way. do not have to report for jury duty/dragon boat races today

Tamara received a notification in the mail that she was going to have to report for jury duty. But turns out that that is not necessary anymore because the parties have decided not to have a trial. So that is good news in a way.  Today is the dragon boat race. This is something that Phil and I really enjoy. We were going to go to the opening ceremony last night, but due to the rain, it was canceled.
