Day 10 MN Highlights-Their Hosanna cries turned to Crucify Him cries
Church. First we attended the Moravian church and then we attended the Methodist church. It was nice. At the Moravian church, the speaker talked about an experience she had with an elderly man she would often visit. Here are some notes I took.
She said the elderly man talked about how he and his wife would attend church regularly. He doesn't remember any sermons that were said, but he does remember the mom making sure the kids behaved. He said he would give anything for another Sunday worship time with her. (She had passed a while ago before this.) He said at church it felt like family. Family in the Lord's house. People have all kinds of excuses not to attend church. Jesus is the strong foundation.
Then the Methodist church:
Imagine the day Jesus rode into town on his donkey. The sun is hot and blazing down. Jesus was coming to obey God's command to sacrifice Himself for our sins. The people are shouting Hosanna! Hosanna! Hosanna in the Highest. Soft at first then getting louder and louder.
Then doubt starts settling in. How can this man be the Saviour? He went to the garden to pray. How can this man who came riding into town looking for trouble be the chosen one?
Their Hosanna cries turned to crucify Him! Crucify Him!
They were influenced by evil, I think. These days, people would say fake news, extremists and all of these on social media influenced their choices.
After church, we went to Blue Collar restaurant for lunch. I had a cappuccino, egg and toast. Then we came home and went for a nice walk. The weather has warmed to 53.
