Pastors have a hard job. They give so much of themselves and they don't get much in return. To me, it's like actors on TV. We watch them, but they don't even know if we watch them or not. They might be given numbers and they get social media feedback, but pastors don't get anything.  Pastors need a lot of support. Not only is it a good idea to pray for your pastor and other pastors, but a positive word now and then is helpful too. Let them know they are making a difference. When I went to the dentist recently, I got to wear these cool shades because they used a laser on my gum lines. Have you ever had that done? It's really interesting. I really love this meme because it's something I've always been adamant about. Everything I do should not be about me. Now, that isn't to say we shouldn't care for ourselves. That's not what I'm saying, but we can shine a spotlight on others and make them feel special. This is especially important for those who aren't quite a professional yet at their craft, but are trying. I see so many people downplay others just because they aren't as good as they think they should be. Give them time to improve and even if they don't, let them enjoy their craft anyway.  Preface: I have always wanted to write a blog where I am telling a story. I did do it once, but I want to do it different now. I started reading Death by Darjeeling by Laura Childs and I was inspired to start. I will eventually start a new blog with the story unfolding, but I don't have a name yet. It is so hard to just read now because my ears ring and it is something I have done for so long that I like hearing someone's voice talk to me. It can be hard to not follow the world and follow God, but it is so important. The rewards of following the world pale in comparison to the rewards following the Lord. The world cannot guarantee a way to Heaven, life can be more stressful without God. As a Christian, don't you feel differently when you commit 💯 percent to the Lord? It's always been amazing to me. The world promotes love, kindness, justice, fairness, non discriminationatory behavior and yet, they want to leave the Creator of this out of it. That's like a fashion designer creating an outfit and everyone talking about it, but leaving the designer's name of of it.  Be different if you're bold enough or just follow the crowd. Jesus says we need to put our trust in Him and Him always. It says, "Trust in the Lord in all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and he will direct your paths."  Proverbs 3:5-6 Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.  1 Peter 5:7  We might be able to solve a lot of problems on our own, but wouldn't you rather have a big powerful God walking with you every step of the way? 

Music practice today went pretty good. Dd has joined the worship team now. She was going to try to play with us, but unfortunately it didn't work out this time for her because we didn't have much time to send her the lead sheets, but she will be playing violin during the countdown.  Next time it's our turn to lead worship, maybe she will be able to join us. Either way, I'm super excited because of the past year or two, the countdown has been quiet.  Sept. 08, 2023 was my first day at my new job. It was a training day, and so we got done a little earlier than planned.  The first thing we did was clean the women's locker room.
