It's been really busy lately getting ready for the Gladiolus Festival, Reconciliation movie and company coming from out of town.

It's just been really really busy cleaning and practicing for the gladiolus Festival. I have been practicing Lead Me To the Cross, Rattle, Holy Spirit. It's been really honoring that Brenda Jo Reutebuch and Kelly Miller have been willing to share their songs with this festival. There are not a whole lot of people that understand things that I do, so when I meet those kind of people that do understand, I cherish them.  And then it's been really exciting waiting for my friends to come into town. I've been cleaning to kind of get ready. I've also been making plans. I'm hoping to at least drive by the Fort so they can see that, I know that Joanna has already seen it but Reese hasn't.  MEWE has updated their platform and I really like it. It seems like it's more modern and it looks more of a page than it does an account with followers and everything. I just really, really like it.. I never did care for much of the something that they had that was ...

Practicing for the Gladiolus Festival coming August 5th

Phil and I practiced for the Gladiolus Festival today. We wanted to check sound, video settings, light settings and other things.  Check it out. This video gave us a chance to try out some new fx settings that our editing software gave us. Practicing for the Gladiolus Festival

Both of these, as well as the movie called "Reconciliation," are coming soon to my YouTube channel Tamara Chaos.  Reconciliation is a short movie showcasing the beautiful water area behind the famous dam wall that is painted with numerous famous actors. This is located in Cape Girardeau. You might even catch a glimpse of the river cruise coming in.  However, we will be showcasing the side that is not painted because the message of the movie refers to a wall. We are very excited to announce the cast will be Tamara Chaos, Brenda Jo Reutebuch and Sharon Nelson. Sharon and Brenda have been in every one of Tamara Chaos'productions.  And speaking of Cape Girardeau, this is a video with a sample tour of the Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center. The fawn is just beautiful.

We helped film the fantastic fun farm dinosaur movie with windsong pictures.

Decluttering Can Lead To Feelings Of Freedom

Image
For the past two weeks or so, I have been in the process of decluttering the undesirable items in my house. There are things that were needed at the time, but now no longer have a purpose.  One time I was sitting in my office and I was thinking to myself, do I have stuff in here that I do not need? What do I have in here that I do not really need ? I have found my peak interests are crocheting, coloring, drawing and video producing.  So all the other things, like children's toys (we have no kids together,) some clothes, baby clothes, and the like, really have no purpose in this household. I was saving some of the toys, because, sometimes friends ask me to babysit their kids, but their situations have changed and that is no longer a need, not to mention the fact that I don't think the kids I have babysat even like my toys (or maybe they just don't like hardwood floors.) I don't know what kid doesn't like Paw Patrol toys, but who knows. I guess maybe they are not dif...

How to Be Fantastic Leader

Image
How To Be a Fantastic Leader:  There are many aspects to being an effective leader. Here are some tips that can help you grow to be a leader everyone loves.  1. Be Responsible It is frustrating when leaders wait until the last minute to arrange an activity or the layout of an event. Yes, sometimes last minute arrangements do work out, but not always. Not everyone likes last minute (very few do) and it can get frustrating.  2. Respect Others and Their Roles You have a job to do, so does everyone else involved. A lot of people want to prepare before a big event and one can't if they have to rely on the leader to do their part first.  3. Involve The Other Members of The Team Have you ever heard the saying "There is no I in the word team? That is so true. Being a leader doesn't mean only your thoughts and ideas are implemented. Ask others too for their input. If they get mad because their ideas are never chosen, that's on them. People should be allowed to give input....

famous writer encourages readers to focus

Isaiah is a great place to read and get inspired to keep focused on God. It's so easy to allow distractions to keep us from worshiping God or read his scriptures. Do you think there is a reason the scriptures were left behind? Did you notice that it's only the Bible left behind? The Bible has survived so long and is still strong.  I shared this song on Instagram, but as I was looking at this scripture just now, I was thinking this song by For King and Country would have been a fantastic choice.  Fix My Eyes But either way, the message is clear.  See the Instagram video here:  Start A Fire

Social Media Exodus

Image
It seems like more and more people are leaving social media. I think it would be really fun to ask people their reasons for doing so. I know for me, it's too much work for very little return. I know, I know, it's all about spreading the gospel, I agree,  💯 percent, but there are only so many hours in the day. I would much rather spend the time doing quality work then frantically posting here, there and everywhere like a Dr. Suess story.  I will not post to Twitter with a mouse I will not post to Twitter in a house. Haha, because I don't have Twitter anymore.  I have kept Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, MEWE and I've joined Threads. I post my Bible messages. I've also kept YouTube because my videos are very important to me.  MEWE is changing to a new platform so I'll have to see how that is going to work out.  I love this blog. It's too hard to keep up with everyone's posts if they are not going to do the same for me. I know it's hard. I know. I have ...

Season 1 EP. 13 is going to be about this verse and one more. We are very excited for this episode because we will have actors Sharon Nelson and Brenda Jo Reutebuch joining us. Filming will begin August 12th. In the meantime, we will be sharing event videos.

Proverbs Drops Some Wise words

Image
Another verse stuck out to me this morning because it has the word reconciliation. It is Proverbs 14:9.  Fools make fun of guilt, but the godly acknowledge it and seek reconciliation. Proverbs 14:9 NLT There are so many aspects of our lives that can change if we continually read the Bible. You know We've often said that in watching early episodes of The Andy Griffith show, one can learn many lessons, but the same can be true of the Bible. How many seasons now has there been of the Bible? Like over 2000?  And it features so many shows like Genesis, Exodus, and oh, you will really get a kick out of Leviticus. Our favorite shows are Romans, Revelation and believe it or not, once you get out of math class in Numbers, the stories are incredible.  So why not start spending more time in the Bible?

What Is The Purpose Of Posting To Social Media?

Image
I have been posting to social media lately, but it was nice to take a break. I've been using it mostly to post scriptures. I'm trying to be better about posting scripture more frequently so that my profile doesn't look weird. I don't like it when scriptures are only scattered here and there.  So anyway, I've been working on the script for my upcoming movie called Reconciliation. I really like the script. There isn't much dialogue, at least for now, but sometimes I think of things to say after a video is posted, so, I'm glad I'm working on this early. If I think of things to add, I can add it later.  I think social media is so busy it's hard, if not impossible, to keep up with everyone. The popular ones are always going to take over. But that's ok, being popular and having interaction isn't my goal, I just want to practice my skills. For this, this blog, serves as a place to put my thoughts.  I'm going to need to get ready soon for the chi...

Reconciliation (A short film)

We are very excited to share that we have begun production of Reconciliation. It will star Tamara Chaos, Brenda Jo Reutebuch and Sharon Nelson. It can be hard to forgive others who have hurt us badly, but in the end, it's worth it. That's what Jesus does for us.

A Riverboat, Musket and Cannon

Image
We had a nice visit to Missouri.. We feel like everything worked out so well not only as far as the visit, but even our videos that we had planned. We went to the bridge so that we could record a side that didn't have any murals on it, and we happen to be there when the riverboat came in. According to Google, which we didn't check until later, it was supposed to arrive at noon and we were there at 9 am. I wanted to get there early because the humidity is so bad right now.  And then another fortuitous moment was going to the trail and recording and seeing a wild deer. A lot of this footage will be in an upcoming video that will be talking about 2 Corinthians 5:18. It's talking about the gift of salvation, but what I'm really going to focus on is the word reconciliation. That doesn't seem to be a commonly used word these days. Salvation is a free gift from the Lord so that we no longer have to face the death penalty for our sins because Jesus took the pena...
