exploring downtown Cincinnati and art museum

Image
It's been so fun exploring the city of Cincinnati. We found some really amazing sites and even rode the streetcar. We visited the art museum. I plan to post a video of us riding the streetcar.  This non-working payphone is part of the robot sculpture in front of the museum.  i think this is so funny. I love making the same expressions as statues.  I just love the amazing architecture.  We have been able to take a lot of wefies together too. This is really going to be a great addition to our final photo book of the year.

on our way to cincinnati

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted.. I've been busy posting to Facebook, Nextdoor and Instagram, and of course YouTube, but I've been reflecting my most favorite place to post.  I've been listening to a pastor in St. Joseph, Missouri when I'm working. He's been so influential and inspirational in my future preaching goals. I am excited to start a new thing in 2024. Since shorts are a great way to get an audience, I'm planning to start doing a lot of shorts before my whole long videos. This will help since I don't have as much time as before to edit.  I'm also excited to start new memories with Phil. When I get home, I'll begin ordering the end of the year photo album from Google photos. It's such a good thing to do. It really helps me remember different things we have done together. I'm also going to try to once again be more regular on this blog. I will be posting how Phil and I met again. I did it on the app called...

john 20:13-16

Image
‭‭John‬ ‭20:13‭-‬16‬ ‭NLT‬‬ [13] “Dear woman, why are you crying?” the angels asked her. “Because they have taken away my Lord,” she replied, “and I don’t know where they have put him.” [14] She turned to leave and saw someone standing there. It was Jesus, but she didn’t recognize him. [15] “Dear woman, why are you crying?” Jesus asked her. “Who are you looking for?” She thought he was the gardener. “Sir,” she said, “if you have taken him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will go and get him.” [16] “Mary!” Jesus said. She turned to him and cried out, “Rabboni!” (which is Hebrew for “Teacher”). It's so hard to read this scriptures without tearing up. It's so sad that she can't find Jesus. It's so heartbreaking that someone she loved was missing. But then it turns to tears of joy because the Lord has been revealed to her. How often do we sometimes weep before we see the whole story? Thank God that a plan was made for Jesus to be resurrected. He took...

john 19:1-2

Image
John 19:  Jesus Sentenced To Death Then Pilate had Jesus flogged with a lead tip whip. Verse 2 the soldiers wolf a crown of thorns and put it on their head and they put a purple robe on him. I think these days Jesus would have been put in a mental institution. He might even get the electric chair and for what crime? Nothing. They would find random things to charge him with. Who knows?  All the time I'm more and more convinced that things happened exactly at the time frame that they needed to happen. It used to be that a lot of people would follow the Jewish law but then Jesus came and changed that that people no longer had to follow the Jewish law. They no longer had to make animal sacrifices to him. Times changed with the new covenant. When Jesus returns they'll be a new covenant and the final covenant.  I've been working on my Christmas concert coming soon Dec. 25th, 2023.  The lineup is  1. I Speak Jesus 2. In the Darkness 3. the father is preparing room for us

Image
‭‭John‬ ‭14:2‭-‬4‬ ‭NLT‬‬ [2] There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? [3] When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. [4] And you know the way to where I am going.” Jesus knows that guests will be arriving when the time is right, and so he is cleaning house and preparing everything for their arrival. I think the more we see the current earth being destroyed, we will start to see a new earth revealed-which begs the question, it says that a new heaven will be revealed as well.  ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:1‬ ‭NLT‬‬ [1] Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone.  ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭65:17‬ ‭NLT‬‬ [17] “Look! I am creating new heavens and a new earth, and no one will even think about the old ones anymore. ‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:13‬ ‭NLT‬‬ [13] But we are looking forwar...

you, God's music singing competition

Image
It's that time of year again! Time to warm up the vocal cords and get ready for the competition. Today we did the audition and so, when it's posted, I'll share with you all. I think this is my third time entering.  It's really cool because a portion of what people pay to vote is given back to my church.

good but tiring day

Image
Today has been so busy. I got off work early and was able to go and lay down for a while. I wrote down some Bible things I've been thinking about after I rested and had a snack. I'm looking forward to spending some time with Phil tonight.  I just love Avakin Life. I love getting new hair, new clothes and playing the games they have in it. I don't know if hashtags work, but just in case. #avakinlife  I do have a separate blog that is dedicated to only pictures of Avakin Life, but I don't know, sometimes I just want to keep stuff on here.  I really hope we can get some snow. Usually around here here, it doesn't snow until January and we don't get impressive snow like this.

Mark of the beast video will be post poned

Watch Video Here I was going to film this Thursday, but I need to delay that.  This will be one of the songs I will be performing at the Christmas concert.  Isn't this gorgeous? I took this on one of our trips to Chicago.

that's impossible God, or is it?

Thank you Lord. I've been cooking my breakfast and thanking the Lord for everything. Thank you Lord for my coffee, thank you Lord for my coffee maker, thank you Lord for my egg, thank you Lord for my stove, thank you Lord for my bagel, thank you Lord for my toaster. When we learn to live with gratitude, we can make a huge difference on our mental attitude, which can be passed along to others.  ‭‭Luke‬ ‭5:4‭-‬5‬ ‭NLT‬‬ [4] When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish.” [5] “Master,” Simon replied, “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.” [7] A shout for help brought their partners in the other boat, and soon both boats were filled with fish and on the verge of sinking. These fishermen had to take a leap of faith. Sometimes things that God is trying to tell us might seem impossible, but with God and his will, all things are possi...

sleep has improved a bit click this headline to read more

My sleep improved a little last night. It was better than the night before, that's for sure. Today is Tuesday and therefore, a more involved work day than others. I did get everything done, except one thing that is going to take a long time. Once I get it done tho, then it's just a matter of maintaining.  How cool is this picture? I just love this picture. I don't really have a scripture message today. I have been reading through the book of Luke. I have read today Luke 2 which talks about the birth of Christ. I made a fresh hot cup of white tea before I started this blog post and I was in the kitchen, but I have moved to the bedroom. I really need to lay down. I have replaced my kitchen chair with an exercise ball and my computer desk chair with an exercise ball, and so, this morning and this afternoon, that's what I've been sitting on.. Between that and my job, I really need a rest. My ears are ringing something fierce tho.  New hair.  This...

leading worship with a pink sparkly dress

Games are not something a lot of people understand, but for me, this game in particular is something I really enjoy. There are always fun games to play within the game, and I get to meet people at the cafe.  Today, 12-3-23, I had the opportunity to showcase my new dress I bought from Walmart through the game. I wore to church and today was our day to lead music. A lot of people liked my dress.   Watch Worship Here Leading worship-Official Parkwood Church video Yesterday, we attended a funeral. This was on the wall in front. I think it's a welcoming picture. It's unfortunate that the young man went so quickly. The service was sad, but inspiring at the same time.  Fresh post from my home: DROPS Tamara Chaos YouTube channel Link: https://bit.ly/3MmBAyX Tamara Chaos is an Ordained Minister /Coffee Lover/Singer/Former Martial Artist/Actress New Episode every Friday at 7 pm EST DROPS is an American weekly show tal...

parable of the 10 bridesmaids

Image
‭‭ ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25:1‭-‬13‬ ‭NLT‬‬ [1] “Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten bridesmaids who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. [2] Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. [3] The five who were foolish didn’t take enough olive oil for their lamps, [4] but the other five were wise enough to take along extra oil. [5] When the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and fell asleep. [6] “At midnight they were roused by the shout, ‘Look, the bridegroom is coming! Come out and meet him!’ [7] “All the bridesmaids got up and prepared their lamps. [8] Then the five foolish ones asked the others, ‘Please give us some of your oil because our lamps are going out.’ [9] “But the others replied, ‘We don’t have enough for all of us. Go to a shop and buy some for yourselves.’ [10] “But while they were gone to buy oil, the bridegroom came. Then those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was locked. [11] Later, when the other five bri...

colossians encourages its readers to give thanks to God click link for more info

Colossians 3:17 video Is it hard to give thanks in everything you do? What does that mean to you? Lately I've been reading Mark  and it is just amazing to watch Jesus in action. In Mark 8 he has compassion on the people who traveled such a long distance to listen to him teach. He is having compassion on the least of these.  Let's rewind to Mark 2 when Jesus heals the paralyzed man.  Let's rewind even farther to Matthew 8 and 9 when Jesus did a whole lot of miracles.  We can learn so much.  1. Jesus loved others, even his enemies.  2. Jesus had compassion on others, especially those who were suffering. 3. Jesus never demanded recognition. In fact, with most people, he asked them to not tell anyone, but they did it anyway.  Comment below what else we can learn.  Matthew 5, the sermon on the mount, talking about the end times, Matthew 6 teaching about giving to the needy, Matthew 7, judging others-if you're not daily diving in...
