Monday night we arrived and we played Uno after supper. Tuesday we went to Hy-Vee, ate at Wahlburger and then went to square dancing.  After that we came home and watched our shows. Now it's Wednesday and we will be heading to Rochester to do things. I need to go to Chiropractor, Walmart, coffee shop, then St. Charles for my mani. Most of this week we have basically been having a normal lifestyle type thing. Going to the store, playing card games etc. Today, Saturday, we are going to Cottage Grove to see Michaella and everyone else.  Sunday we went to both churches. As one studies more and more, the stronger in the faith one gets. I'm not telling you that I have reached that goal, but part of me feels like I am making progress. For the past few months, I have really been dialing into the Bible. I have been reading and studying, but I think what's really making the difference is listening to many hours of church services. I feel like I am getting more and more knowledge and it is building my innate biblical discernment and awareness.  Photo Credit One night, I really felt like a dark cloud was passing over a young couple who used to attend our church. I prayed and it went away. I am not saying there was anything to that. It is possible that it was merely my imagination, but I believe it was important to believe it. ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭18:1‭-‬2‬ ‭NLT‬‬ [1] About that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?” [2] Jesus called a little child to him and put the child among them. ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭18:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬ [3] Then he said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven. [4] So anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. I think one advantage kids have over adults is that they have a inexperienced life. As adults, we have experienced so much more pain, disbelief and disappointment than kids have. Because of this, we require more proof than kids do before we believe.  Jesus wants us to believe by faith only. Over time, proof will be revealed to us.  Jesus in the scriptures following encourages those who are more experienced to guide new believers. It's not necessarily adults guiding kids.. Update: Since the time this post was released, things at church changed a bit.  It's very interesting to me that we get more support from people who don't really know us, be it online only or meeting for the first time, then we do from people who do know us in person. I did read Matthew 12 and 13, but it was hard to focus, so I will need to read Matthew 13 again.  What I did read though, I thought was pretty amazing. Jesus healed on the Sabbath and the Pharisees tried to accuse Jesus of breaking the rules of the Sabbath. Matthew 13 talks about the parable of the farmer scattering seed and the large crowd that gathered to hear Jesus teach. Discipline means doing everything possible to not only live and act like Christ, but learn like Christ too. We can't be more like Christ if we don't take the time to learn about him. Study the scriptures. Matthew 5-10 is a great place to start.  Look at the character of Jesus. Caring, healer, servant, delegator and inspirational. He sparked people to want to be more like Him. He didn't come to the towns and say, I am the Almighty King, worship me! No, he gave people a choice. He came to people in love. He came with the attitude of serving. Who can you serve today? Maybe it's your job.  Show the customers and employers the attitude of Christ. Show the attitude of Christ EVERYWHERE by NOT complaining and not being bitter. Being bitter doesn't help...

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭8:8‬ ‭NLT‬‬ [8] But the officer said, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come into my home. Just say the word from where you are, and my servant will be healed. Can you imagine having this much faith? You know what I love? Sisters and brothers supporting each other like this man who was paralyzed. He wanted so much to be healed by Jesus but because there were so many people wanting to see Jesus, he couldn't, plus, he was paralyzed. His friends carried him to the place, made a hole in the roof, and lowered him right in front of the speaker, who was Jesus. It was impossible for Jesus not see this person that needed to be healed. Jesus healed this man because his friends loved him so much that they wanted to help. That is how we are supposed to be.  But too many times it just doesn't work out. Sometimes people will ask for help, but they don't get the help. I read a post just the other day that said don't show what you're going through on the outside or something like that. ‭Zechariah‬ ‭12:1‬ ‭NLT‬ [1] This message concerning the fate of Israel came from the Lord: “This message is from the Lord, who stretched out the heavens, laid the foundations of the earth, and formed the human spirit.  How awesome is this passage? Who stretched out the heavens, laid the foundations of the earth, and formed the human spirit. That to me, takes us back to creation days. What a miracle God did when he created the world. He created a place for us to spend our earthly days before he brings us to the kingdom he is preparing for us. I don't know about you, but I think that's pretty awesome. We are only here temporarily.
